Effect of Collaboration on Research

November 11, 2008

Lovejoy seniors began to write research papers -- all comparing their chosen topic in the U.S. and in Brasil. Some were about government, some about teen pregnancy, some about education, some about celebrations. The papers were the best I have had since I started teaching many years ago. They had a point of reference. Their research had meaning because of their collaboration.

  1. You see!!! Everything is to be learned better when it is a clear focus. By comparing Brazil to US, students had to activate their curiosity about Brazil and of course they learned a lot with it. In addition, it is good for them not only have their reference. By having another one (Brazilian's for instance) they are to learn more and see what is good in their country and what is not in a clearer way.
